Motherputter – a new golf inspired fashion line makes no apologies for rocking women’s golf attire. “We play lights out, and we wear dresses” remarks Co-Founder Kim Tuttle.
Thursday, November 16, 2017 a new company based in St. Louis launches their line of fashionable clothing for the golf course. Motherputter, an all-female company is boldly working to take on the male dominated sport, by empowering women with fresh new styles that embrace femininity and individuality, while honoring the traditions of the game.
Three years ago the idea of Motherputter started as a conversation between 3 women, Kim Tuttle, Kari Schindehette and Jacque Bardgett. Beyond being family, they all shared a love for the game of golf and a loathing for the stodgy apparel designated to the market. Recognizing an unfulfilled niche in athletic wear, team Motherputter was founded. Co-Founder Kim Tuttle reflects - “My friends that golf, Kari’s friends and Jacque’s friends, are all looking for golf clothes that reflect who they are, have some personality, and have a modern aesthetic.”
First to market with trendy golf apparel, all of Motherputter’s garments are 100% made in America and includes dresses, shirts, skirts, vests, shorts, hats and accessories designed with an updated aesthetic, yet remains thoughtful of the expected dress codes of the industry. The fabrics are performance quality, breathable and move perfectly with a body in motion.
As stated by the World Golf Foundation, Golf 20/20 – “In May of 2013, golf industry leaders attending the GOLF 20/20 Strategic Planning meeting recognized the need to make woman’s golf key area of focus for the golf industry.” Given the emphasis on increasing the number of women who play golf, Motherputter’s timing with a game changing fashion line is right on trend. “We are a lifestyle brand first and foremost, not just clothes. We hope to empower women by creating a women’s golf community,” Kim explains, “Luxury apparel lines in other sports and fitness movements have done this very well, creating a sense of community. We are filling that void in the women’s golf world with Motherputter.”
The line makes its debut during the Ladies Fall Boutique at Meadowbrook Country Club in Ballwin, MO. Being an e-commerce focused business, Motherputter makes its debut online this Thursday, November 16, 2017 and will be establishing multiple online parties and coordinating pop-ups to celebrate the launch of the inaugural line. Information on events will be shared on their website and their Facebook page.
